Founded in 1942, Horoz Logistics is one of the leading companies in the logistics sector in Turkey. We talked with Horoz Logistics IT Director Uğur Duman about the activities and new developments they have carried out in the field of AI/DC from past to present.

AI/DC equipment has been used in Horoz Logistics since 1998. Starting from 2001-2002, up-to-date devices of that period started to be used in all locations of the company, especially with Motorola products. In this context, Horoz Logistics, breaking new ground in many fields, has become one of the leading companies in its field in Turkey with the active use of barcodes, labels and AI/DC products in all its locations. The studies that started in the mentioned years enabled Horoz Logistics to continue successfully with Motorola, which uses different devices and models.

Horoz Logistics, which has reached different structures with the software it has developed today, distributes from 30 different locations and provides service in approximately 80 different locations. It works with full automation in these locations and is in a position to enter the top 3 in Turkey in its field.

Horoz Logistics Information Processing Director Uğur Duman states that the subject they have focused more on in recent years is internet sales, and that the sales that have turned more towards individuals with the increase in internet sales have led Horoz Logistics to some restructurings. They state that, with the mentioned configurations, they are in a position to successfully carry out internet sales with many integrations, especially the issues of delivering the tracking-traceability information to the buyer on time, making accurate and error-free deliveries, and informing them via sms and e-mail. The company, which has a free application called “Horoz” in the App Store as of January, offers the opportunity to learn the current status and past movements of the shipments made using Horoz Logistics using the Recipient Title or Tracking Number. With this application to be included in Google Play in the future, Horoz Logistics will be the only company that implements this application as a logistics company.

Today, the way of logistics is changing day by day and continues to develop. Logistics activities, which were carried out from institution to institution in the past, have started to turn to the individual by changing to a more complex structure today. In accordance with this structure, Horoz Logistics creates software so that its customers can access all the services they need by covering many areas and uses a detailed system from the order process to the approval stage. Horoz Logistics maintains this system successfully due to the use of suitable equipment with a solid infrastructure and support, the rapid informing of the team in the field, and the durable and easy-to-apply structure of the devices used during this briefing.
